IBPS PO 2018: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released notification for the 4252 posts of Probationary Officers. Candidates can apply online only from 14.08.2018 to 04.09.2018. The exam will be completed in 3 phases, Preliminary, Mains and Interview. Preliminary examinati online on 18.11.2018 and results of the examination will be declared in the month of December.

IBPS PO Structure of Examination

IBPS PO Preliminary Examination

The Preliminary examination will be of 100 marks consisting of 30 questions of English (30 marks), 35 questions of Quantitative Aptitude (35 marks) and 35 questions of Reasoning Ability (35 marks). The duration of the exam will be one hour.

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS.

IBPS PO Main Examination

The main examination will be of three hours and of 200 marks – Reasoning & Computer Aptitude (45 questions of 60 marks), General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness (40 questions of 40 marks), English Language (35 questions of 40 marks) and Data Analysis & Interpretation (35 questions of 60 marks). In addition to this, a test of 30 minutes will be of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

Any Indian citizen with degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

How to Apply for IBPS PO

  • Go to Online Application.
  • Register yourself –  click on CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION, fill the particulars and receive provisional Registration No. and Password.
  • Download the instruction and read it carefully.
  • Keep these things ready before filling the form :
    • Photograph –  200 x 230 pixels (preferred), 20 – 50 kb in jpeg format
    • Signature – 140 x 60 pixels (preferred), 10 – 20 kb in jpeg format
    • Left Thumb Impression – 140 x 60 pixels (preferred), 10 – 20 kb in jpeg format
    • Self hand written declaration
    • ( Read ANNEXURE III of the Notification carefully for Guidelines on scanning and Upload of Documents)
  • Log in with User Id and Password provided by IBPS after registration.
  • Fill the form carefully. After successful submission of form the candidate will receive acknowledgement message on his or her email and Mobile No. 


The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking,
IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets .
Candidate should take out the  print of  e-receipt generated after successful completion of the transaction.
